Ravenna Aadu

MUKILTEO, WASHINGTON

Transformed an existing basement into a thoughtfully designed attached accessory dwelling unit (AADU).  The goal was to create a flexible and livable space that could adapt over time, with accessibility and comfort at the forefront.  The new ADU includes a private bedroom, a cozy living area, and a standard kitchenette for day-to-day use.    The bathroom was carefully designed with aging-in-place features, ensuring it remains safe and accessible for a wide range of needs.  Shared laundry and storage areas were seamlessly integrated into the layout to support both the main household and new unit.

The new ADU was laid out to fit within the existing space in the basement around existing stairs, existing structure, and existing garage location.
